Roca Blanca
Roca Blanca mid-week, an ideal getaway. The place is packed on weekends, however. The fresh oysters are 120 pesos a dozen. Heaven. And it’s only a half hour drive from Puerto.
El Venado is a community of around 50 families, 10 km west of Roca Blanca on the Coast highway. It might seem isolated but there are schools, a church, and 4G cell service. The ocean front between the village and Roca Blanca has been broken into small lots by various developers, but aside from one vacation house owned by Canadians, nothing has been built yet.
