When Judith Walker started her Water Aerobics class five years ago, most of the participants were in their late 60s, now they are in their 70s and still going strong. Judith herself turns 73 in January and does she look good! Before doing water aerobics, she taught dance aerobics for ten years at the Centro de Bienestar.

A native of Kansas City, Kansas, Judith led a fast-paced life as a Hollywood hair stylist and aerobics teacher for 12 years. In 1984 she decided to retire and move to Mexico. She lived in Puerto Vallarta for two years, but she wanted something different. A friend suggested Huatulco, but that wasn’t it either. In 1986, she discovered Puerto Escondido and has been here ever since.

A woman of strong faith, Judith has served the community with love, both as a hairdresser and as an exercise teacher. She opened Puerto’s first gym in 1988. Eight years ago, she very proudly became a Mexican citizen.

Judith’s water aerobic classs meets from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at the Hotel Albatros, calle Guelatao, Bacocho.
