Playa Encomienda
45 minutes from Puerto, heading west on highway 200, just before Río Grande, you see a sign saying El Venado. Turn left and continue five minutes until you get to the village. Then there is a sign for La China. Turn right and keep following the signs to this restaurant on the beach. Weekends La China (the nickname of the owner) serves oysters and lobsters, fresh from the sea. On weekdays there’s robalo, pargo and red snapper, straight from the lagoon.
